Just thinking out loud...

I had a post all ready to post yesterday and just couldn't do it.  What I am doing in Ohio is so trivial compared to what families in Connecticut are dealing with.  It is going to take some time to process this.  (I have a grandchild in first grade and another in kindergarten.  My daughter is mental health care professional for children.)  It's so hard to think about what these Newtown families are feeling right now and what is ahead of them.

There hasn't been much sewing here this week.  I have been getting ready for my kids and grandkids to come next week.  There will be 14 in house for several days.  If I am not ready for them, who cares.  I just want them to all be here and hear their laughter and get their hugs.

When I do get a minute to sew, here's what I have been working on...

In case you don't already know it, I cherish my friendships with each and every one of you!

My heart is breaking for all of the families in Newtown too, and sewing is a good activity to do while letting your mind process what has happened. Life is so precious and I cherich my friendship with you too.

It is awful what the families and loved ones of these children are going through. I pray that GOD bring them peace and comfort. I know you will enjoy your time with the grandkids in the house.and this quilt you are working on looks like it will be huge.

I am saddened by this tragedy too. Your quilt looks beautiful and that is a fun pattern to show off beautiful prints!

Thoughts of love, care and more go to every family, who has lost, to every family who is holding their child, and to all parents everywhere.Love, cherish, tell them how much you do this. We may be on the other side of the world but the loss for these families has made a huge impact here, too. We treasure every moment with our family and friends.

The profond sadness is hard to bare. And, so difficult to go on during what should be such a festive, joyful time of year. I can't imagine how siblings can cope.

Your quilt is beautiful as always. Say hi to all the family and enjoy!!
